Terms of service

The agreement between you and Meridian. Sections still being written say so.

Draft4 sections are drafts — plain language about what the product does, not yet reviewed by counsel, and one section is provided by counsel and not yet written. Everything else on this page describes how the product works today.

What you are buying

A challenge fee buys one simulated evaluation account at the size you chose, governed by the ruleset printed on its card: profit target, daily-loss limit, maximum-loss limit, minimum trading days, leverage and profit split. The card is the whole contract for that account; there is no second list.

The fee, and its refund

The fee is paid once, at the payment processor, before the account is opened. It is refunded with your first payout from a funded account, on the basis of what was received.

Payouts

A funded account can request a payout on its cycle once the eligibility conditions shown on the Payouts page are met. Payouts above a stated amount require two approvers. A payout is sent to a destination you registered in advance and arrives net of the processor’s fee. A payout is not released to a destination that differs from the one on the request.

Identity verification

Before a first payout you verify your identity by uploading documents on the Activate page. A person reviews them; the result is shown as a status on that page. Documents are kept while you hold an account and deleted 30 days after your last account closes.

Your account and sessions

You sign in with an email address and a password, and may add a second factor from Settings. A session lasts a fixed time and can be ended from any device on the Settings page. Registration answers the same way whether or not an address is already registered; the truth is sent to that mailbox, not to the form.

Eligibility

Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel

To open an account you register with an email address and a password. That is everything the form asks for: it sends no name, no date of birth and no country.

Before a first payout you verify your identity by uploading documents: a JPEG or PNG image or a PDF, up to 10 MiB each. A person reviews them and the result is shown on the Activate page.

Prohibited conduct

Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel

The product enforces by refusing, not by reading intent. Repeated failed password attempts, or repeated wrong second-factor codes, lock that sign-in method for a while. A locked account is answered exactly as a wrong password is, so an attempt cannot tell that it has locked anything.

Signing in, registering, changing a password, starting a checkout and requesting a payout are each rate-limited per network address and per account. A request over the limit is refused.

We do not compare activity across accounts or devices, and no rule that can close an account depends on doing so.

The rules that can close an account are its ruleset’s, enforced by our risk system. These terms add no rule of their own.

Termination

Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel

An account is closed by a breach: when equity crosses a loss limit we close it and trading on it stops. When an account passes its phase it stays on your dashboard as history and a next-phase account is opened for you.

A breach recorded in error can be voided by an administrator. The breach stays on the record, marked voided; the account returns to the state the breach took; a voided breach does not block a payout.

You cannot yet close or delete an account yourself in the app, and how to ask us to do it is not described here yet. Nothing in the product ends an account for inactivity today either.

An administrator’s action on your account — a void, a restatement — is written to the audit log with the actor and the network address it came from.

Your identity documents are deleted 30 days after your last account closes, whatever the reason it closed.

Governing law and disputes

This section is provided by counsel.

Changes to these terms

Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel

The product does not record that you accepted a version of these terms, and it does not tell you when they change: the registration form has no box to accept them, we keep no acceptance date for your account, and the only email we send is the registration notice.

These pages describe what the product does today. They are drafts: they may change, and nothing will tell you when they do.

Simulated trading. Meridian evaluations are simulated. Orders are filled against live market prices by our own execution simulator and are never routed to an exchange. Payouts from a funded account are real.

Risk disclosure. Trading involves risk. Past performance on an evaluation is not a guarantee of a payout. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
